We’re seeking a Communications Specialist who is not only a seasoned project manager but also a powerful storyteller and creative thinker, sharing our ambition to do advocacy in a contemporary way, chiefly in the digital world.
This role will initially focus on two key projects within a larger strategic framework aimed at amplifying the individual thought leadership of a high-profile client and engaging a global community of advocates and organizations driving action in international health and development. Adjacent to these core responsibilities, there is signifcant room to grow into other responsibilities at Beyond.Representation, including leadership of a newly emerging business segment and management responsibility for a quickly growing team.
The role
- Project Management: Lead all workflows and execution related to the client-specific thought leadership project, ensuring alignment with broader strategic objectives.
- Advocacy Stewardship: Serve as the steward of core advocacy messages, ensuring they are effectively communicated through key channels to drive impact and engagement.
- Digital Strategy Development: Develop and implement a digital audience and community engagement strategy that aligns with our identified priorities, focusing on sustained advocacy impact.
- Content Direction and Creation: Oversee and execute all editorial work, production, and publication of all content, including monthly newsletters, bi-weekly long-form content, and dynamic short-form social media pieces that resonate with target audiences.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our policy experts on messaging. Brief and manage our creative team to ensure the timely delivery of content that is both visually compelling and message-driven.
- Media Strategy: Drive the media strategy, targeting traditional outlets and podcasts that align with the project’s advocacy goals, including the strategic placement of Op-Eds and securing key interviews.
- Digital Content Development: Create proactive and reactive digital content informed by the client’s strategic priorities and social listening insights, ensuring relevance and timeliness.
- Platform Growth: Cultivate and expand the client’s existing platform, leveraging her voice to build a stronger, more engaged audience.
- Performance Tracking: Develop and oversee measurement frameworks and KPIs to assess the project’s success, tracking performance and making data-driven adjustments as needed.
